To any child of a certain age, that phrase — around the corner — has a certain magical quality. Whatever was waiting around that corner, at the end of the block, we knew it was something special. We had a sense that what lay out there was vaster than we could have imagined and filled with promise. That sense of wonder and excited anticipation was the theme we recently turned into a stunning piece of artwork, reproduced here. As NASA prepared its year-long celebration of its 50th anniversary, they invited Crabtree + Company to create a special logo commemorating the event. We were honored to be asked and deeply gratified that one of our entries was chosen to represent this milestone achievement. At a time when differences increasingly define us and the threats we face only seem to multiply, I hope that as a nation and as a people we can regain some of our optimism and set out together to see what lies around the next corner.
