Doing Well…Doing Good
 Over ten years ago the State of Maryland asked C+C to design brochures in support of its WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) nutrition program. We completed the work, the client was pleased, and normally that would have been the end of the story. But this time we knew we’d helped create something special; something that had a value beyond Maryland’s borders. So with the state’s encouragement, we inaugurated a twice-yearly co-op program dubbed Help Me Be Healthy. We opened orders for the brochures to all 50 states and reduced the price in proportion to the number of orders received. As of today, 36 states, various US territories, several native American tribal nations, and the US military overseas have all ordered, putting the total at more than 8 million brochures. Help Me Be Healthy has done well, and what pleases me most is that from what I hear, it has also done a great deal of good.
