For WomenHeart’s first ads, C+C chose portraits of women who had suffered heart attacks, detailing their surprising stories (e.g., a 30-year old marathon runner). The ads appeared in The New Yorker, US News and World Report, and were repurposed for subway displays and mall kiosks. Reader surveys rated the ads highest in attention-getting ability, information value, and believability.
