04.27.11 — C+C On The Global Stage
Crabtree + Company has been selected as one of only five firms worldwide to receive a contract for document design for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. In the past, such work has included annual reports and publications focused on the Global Fund’s innovations and progress, performance-based funding, and more.
The Global Fund is based in Geneva, Switzerland and provides financing for country-led programs to combat these three diseases. Globally it is estimated that 11 million people suffer from tuberculosis, 33 million HIV/AIDS, and 236 million malaria.
In America, many people know of the Global Fund through its product (RED)™ campaign, where companies like Nike, Apple, Starbucks, and Gap create products specifically for (RED) and donate the proceeds to the Global Fund’s initiatives to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa.
C+C’s contribution to fighting these diseases is indirect, but our ability to help the Global Fund describe its challenges and document its successes is both real and concrete. Communication — dispelling myths and distributing information — is an essential part of its mission and one to which C+C is honored to contribute.
